Audience Comments:

"Well I think congratulations are called for.  My husband and I, together with our daughter, saw your play “Knights” on Friday evening and enjoyed every minute of it.  It was great!  What a lot of work it must have been but well worth every minute I am sure.  We were very impressed with the scenery and how it changed from one scene to another.  Also, all the Kung Fu and Tai Chi moves.  It was so interesting to see them performed on a stage, especially for me.  The songs your husband wrote were all really good and so very easy to listen to.  Lets not forget the drums, of course they were great too.  Everything about the show was excellent.  You are certainly a very talented couple and should be very proud of what you have achieved.  Of course, everyone involved in the show deserves a pat on the back for a job well done.  I applaud you all."   Barbara Woodfield

Director's Message

"I have been a composer and writer all my life, and I have had a great passion for the beauty and skill of the martial arts. To me martial arts is a visual art like dance with some interesting differences. The martial arts deals with the character of the practitioner in ways other arts do not. There is truth in the art that is immediate.

When I wrote Knights, the main elements I was trying to capture were the growth of character through adversity and the folly of falling victim to the temptations of the world. Writing it as a musical allowed me to touch emotions that I was unable to express in words alone.

Working with this cast and staff has been a joy. Every one of the cast members has given many hours of martial arts practice as well as singing and acting rehearsal to bring this work to reality. My heartfelt thanks to everyone who has supported us.

Thank you."
